The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Komen Grama during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, Pedrão Tepedino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E.R. Caxias do Sul the free kick. Caxias do Sul's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 38th minute. Komen Grama's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Valério Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 45th minute, Marcel Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valério Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Marco Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Marcel Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Abreu in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 minutes Agroboys SM - CIMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ladislao Mazurkiewicz who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's corner Ladislao Mazurkiewicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valério Monteiro quite easily take care of the ball. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cássio Alcântara in the 57th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cássio Alcântara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miguel Ángel Ortiz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Valério Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 minutes of play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Ladislao Mazurkiewicz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valério Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marco Hoffmann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 81st minute Jardel Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valério Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 92ndth minute of the game Marcel Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
