Matthias Meliti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Linas Mandraflis's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Mantvydas Bekeris scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matthias Meliti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Cakir in the 20th minute of play forced FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Arūnas Zaleckis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's zone, Lukas Liaudanskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Meliti came out of the goal and Lukas Liaudanskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arūnas Zaleckis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernd Heid in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Linas Mandraflis during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st minute, Linas Mandraflis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Matthias Meliti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linas Mandraflis in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's goalkeeper Matthias Meliti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Arūnas Zaleckis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Pegasas Siauliai from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Bernd Heid ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arūnas Zaleckis. Arūnas Zaleckis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Linas Mandraflis made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bernd Heid notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of FC Pegasas Siauliai's Arūnas Zaleckis. Arūnas Zaleckis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute, Bernd Heid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Cakir in the 57th minute of play forced FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Arūnas Zaleckis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Linas Mandraflis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthias Meliti was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 81st match minute, FC Pegasas Siauliai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rūtenis Bračas to maneuver through the defense. FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, FC Pegasas Siauliai's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Marxer came free, but Arūnas Zaleckis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Pegasas Siauliai had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
