Emil Zátopek stood somewhat misplaced when Kaapo Mastropiero came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 18 minute. 27 minutes into the game, Dionisio Argider cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Venceslao Solares hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goalkeeper Emil Zátopek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Richie. Ildefonso Richie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Emil Zátopek made a huge save. Emil Zátopek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kaapo Mastropiero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 42 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaapo Mastropiero got free with Emil Zátopek in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Temperley's Hector Casse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Temperley from getting a goal against them. Internacional Pechofrío's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Temperley the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Internacional Pechofrío was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Castillo to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Dalmacio Sergi in the 82nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Emil Zátopek's left hand side.
