In the 9th minute, Danilo Urbez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brown Puerto Madryn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Flavio Pirro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xano Belalcaraz in the 14th minute. Herminio Carrasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Urbez in the 18th minute of play. Silvestre Maurino hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Espiridion Litago in the 30th minute of play forced Brown Puerto Madryn's goalkeeper Flavio Pirro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Carrasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Rayman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Pirro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the match, C.F Intercity's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Ilazki came free, but Herminio Carrasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Simonsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Flavio Pirro made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Danilo Urbez made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Xano Belalcaraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Pirro was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 55th minute Espiridion Litago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Pirro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Brown Puerto Madryn got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Rayman. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Matt Le Tissier managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.F Intercity's supporters rose to their feet, but Matt Le Tissier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Pirro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Brown Puerto Madryn getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jonathan Rayman hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, Brown Puerto Madryn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Saturnin to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes, C.F Intercity's Mauro Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Pirro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.F Intercity reached it. Jonathan Rayman's late challenge caught a C.F Intercity's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
