Juninho Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rahmi Öner hit a great ball. Edmundo Ribeiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gürsel Doğulu. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Gürsel Doğulu managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when LRCA Office Club's Toke Chute fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coşkun Çağkar in the 20th minute of play. Gürsel Doğulu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toke Chute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rahmi Öner in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toke Chute in the 38th minute of play forced ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goalkeeper Gürsel Doğulu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Virgílio Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LRCA Office Club's protests and gave Virgílio Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes LRCA Office Club got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Carioca. In the 43rd minute of the match Gürsel Akgündüz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurício Linhares skillfully saved the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Coşkun Çağkar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maurício Linhares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maurício Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahmi Öner in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

LRCA Office Club made a substitution. Vitinho Vides replaced Luís Fábio Mandrak. 59 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goalkeeper Maurício Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Coşkun Çağkar. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coşkun Çağkar in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of LRCA Office Club booed when ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baybars Karaman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Toke Chute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürsel Doğulu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Toke Chute left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LRCA Office Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Coşkun Çağkar got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, LRCA Office Club's Juninho França got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LRCA Office Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
