Walter Casagrande scored 2-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosme Jeraldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Boedo Crows getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Geronimo Oton hit a great ball. Walmir Dias came out of the goal and Cosme Francis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosme Francis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 36th playminute. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Rubens Viana got a free kick in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Cosme Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boedo Crows's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosme Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Walmir Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
