AYYILDIZ's Bektaş Ali Enginalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Mikros in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AYYILDIZ's Gencer Honazlı got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, AYYILDIZ's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Botitsis came free, but Bektaş Ali Enginalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Haydar Kılıçaslan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AYYILDIZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haydar Kılıçaslan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Onur Ali Zülfikar scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Kaminaridis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giannis Botitsis made a kick off. Ntinos Pantelakis's late challenge caught a AYYILDIZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ntinos Pantelakis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AYYILDIZ booed when Dhafnospiliá BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position.
