Marcellin Chaloux made a great header on Fly T.T's corner, it was just that El Retorno de Palermo's Modesto Olentzaro managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Lorencio in the 12th minute of play forced Fly T.T's goalkeeper Clifton Slaughter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilles Russell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Olentzaro having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Roland in the 16th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Modesto Olentzaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Gilles Russell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fly T.T's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilles Russell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Olentzaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the game, one of El Retorno de Palermo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 28 minutes El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Modesto Olentzaro managed, with a little bit of luck, save Marcellin Chaloux's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After 28 minutes of play, Fly T.T's Marcellin Chaloux made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Modesto Olentzaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Modesto Olentzaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathieu Roland's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Clifton Slaughter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Nabar in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Mathieu Roland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Ernesto Claude was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Retorno de Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fly T.T the free kick. Ernesto Claude hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in El Retorno de Palermo's zone, Gilles Russell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Olentzaro came out of the goal and Gilles Russell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

51 minutes into the match, Bernardo Illart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clifton Slaughter. Fly T.T's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Illart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Guaberto Rufio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Clifton Slaughter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 61 minutes, Léonard Colvin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fly T.T and the El Retorno de Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clifton Slaughter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Nabar in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, El Retorno de Palermo's Cristo Lorencio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clifton Slaughter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 70th match minute, Fly T.T was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwardo Baca to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Hilario Mikeldi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Retorno de Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fly T.T the free kick. Hilario Mikeldi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Modesto Olentzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Roland in the 84th minute of play. El Retorno de Palermo's Esteban Panfilo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Retorno de Palermo played a much better game than Fly T.T and deserved their victory. The Fly T.T players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
