Augusto Gaskon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Cutberto to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Benedicto Maidana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Saladillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fervent Stalkers the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Etxatxu in the 56th minute of play forced Atletico Saladillo FC's goalkeeper Isidoro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Jeronimo Loiola sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fervent Stalkers's Augusto Gaskon didn't even have to move. 66 minutes into the game, Leandro Cutberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Isidoro Regis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Benedicto Maidana was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. Benedicto Maidana hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Fervent Stalkers had played much better football throughout.
