A collision led to A A Arizona getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sydney Velloso hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Sydney Velloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A A Arizona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Lopes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Downchester City were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing A A Arizona to leave the ground with a draw.
