Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Edman in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Guarei FC defense, Joseph Edman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Francisco Costa. The Guarei FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Francisco Costa should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Oskar Benna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Francisco Costa was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Oskar Benna fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Francisco Costa, passed just outside the right post. Rainer Akgaard had several of the Guarei FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed João Francisco Costa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rainer Akgaard in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Francisco Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Guarei FC from getting a goal against them. Rainer Akgaard took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Francisco Costa. João Francisco Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 37th minute Joseph Edman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Guarei FC's goalkeeper João Francisco Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseph Edman. Joseph Edman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 40th playminute. If Oskar Benna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Edman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Francisco Costa having to make a save. If Rainer Akgaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Silveira made a kick off. In the 56th minute Rainer Akgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Rainer Akgaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 12 Monkeys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Fabrício Sabóia hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. João Francisco Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rainer Akgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, 12 Monkeys's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Cavalcante came free, but Yoto Boshikyov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Francisco Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oskar Benna went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. With 72 minutes on the clock, José Vítor Soares commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guarei FC! In the 75th minute there was a penalty for 12 Monkeys. Rainer Akgaard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Francisco Costa. 7-0. If Oskar Benna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Guarei FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rainer Akgaard came free, but João Francisco Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainer Akgaard in the 87th minute of play. 12 Monkeys's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
