Marco Elodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Theofanis Marinakis made a huge save. Marcelino Froylan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Theofanis Marinakis made a huge save. José Ponce struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Theofanis Marinakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rebelution. Theofanis Marinakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Marcelino Froylan lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Theofanis Marinakis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Kalkavouras in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Chorache saved Rebelution from getting behind. With a little luck, ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis got control of the ball when Marcelino Froylan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theofanis Marinakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Marcelino Froylan might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theofanis Marinakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelino Froylan ran back to his position shaking his head. José Ponces short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Theofanis Marinakis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Theofanis Marinakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Froylan in the 30th minute. Marcelino Froylan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Theofanis Marinakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Theofanis Marinakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Rebelution's Zacarias Natanael tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 2-1 became the score in the 39th minute when José Ponce elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. José Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, ΟΦΗ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giannis Tzanetos to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind ΟΦΗ's goalkeeper Theofanis Marinakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rebelution's José Ponce in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ΟΦΗ's goalie prevented a goal. Theofanis Marinakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Ponce's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. When Babbis Prokos came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the ΟΦΗ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babbis Prokos couldn't finish the play. ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Feo in the 58th minute of play. Giannis Tzanetos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Chorache having to interfere. Antonis Papagrigoriou lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, ΟΦΗ's Antonis Papagrigoriou got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When Marcelino Froylan came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Rebelution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Froylan couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute José Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theofanis Marinakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ΟΦΗ defense, Marco Elodio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theofanis Marinakis. The ΟΦΗ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theofanis Marinakis should have stopped the shot. Theofanis Marinakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, José Ponce put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Theofanis Marinakis. 76 minutes into the match, Honorato Feo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theofanis Marinakis. ΟΦΗ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorato Feo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. 78 minutes into the match, Marcelino Froylan notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis. Theofanis Marinakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Babbis Prokos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Ponce scored 7-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theofanis Marinakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd match minute, Rebelution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Elodio to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rebelution fans cheered their team off the field, for while ΟΦΗ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
