After 11 minutes, 吕震强 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motta Futebol Clube and the INIXET BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 吕震强 to maneuver through the defense. Motta Futebol Clube's Juninho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Karlsson in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Juninho Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Karlsson. A collision led to Motta Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aurel Bărbătescu hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Elias Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Per-Erik Bergfelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kåre Blom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Freire's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Patrick Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Wall didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Freire to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Elias Freire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kåre Blom was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Patrick Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kåre Blom having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Bărbătescu came free, but Kåre Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juninho Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Askelöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kåre Blom came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Motta Futebol Clube's Júnior Berger. But to his dismay, Júnior Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Júnior Berger scored 0-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kåre Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Larsfelt in the 69th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Juninho Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurel Bărbătescu got free with Kåre Blom in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kåre Blom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Freire in the 72nd minute. Kåre Blom stood somewhat misplaced when Júnior Berger came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 74 minute. INIXET BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Elias Freire scored to the left of an out of position Kåre Blom, making the score, 0-5. Elias Freire who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Kåre Blom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elias Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Kåre Blom made a huge save. 90 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Freire came free, but Kåre Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes, Sven-Ove Strömbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INIXET BK and the Motta Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes INIXET BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Strömbom. The INIXET BK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Motta Futebol Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Motta Futebol Clube.
