Steaua Bucuresti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dieguinho Salgado ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcus Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Jdeica in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jerry Gane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Sampaio was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerry Gane in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Sampaio saved Felizberto EC from getting behind. Dorin Zdraşcu's late challenge caught a Felizberto EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorin Zdraşcu helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Gane in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerry Gane to strike the kick off in the second half. After 95 minutes of play, Steaua Bucuresti's Petre Jdeica made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Sampaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Steaua Bucuresti's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
