Gilmar Gerber's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilmar Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Danial Boon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Guimarães having to interfere. Aloísio Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danial Boon in the 27th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Danial Boon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aloísio Guimarães. Red Bull Magnus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danial Boon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Red Bull Magnus's goalkeeper Aloísio Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danial Boon. Aloísio Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liu Feng Guang, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
