The audience was convinced that Semi Merdan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augustin Irod was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Francesco Alfonsi hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cetatea Suceava's zone, Semi Merdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 16 minutes of play, Beyaz Zenciler's Andrey Shevchenko made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augustin Irod was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the game, Alesandro Nesta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beyaz Zenciler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cetatea Suceava the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciprian Mitrea was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Fabian Antohi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Biörkquist in the 84th minute of play forced Beyaz Zenciler's goalkeeper Rafal Labus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Beyaz Zenciler's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Biörkquist came free, but Rafal Labus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Alfonsi's late challenge caught a Beyaz Zenciler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francesco Alfonsi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Francesco Alfonsi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cetatea Suceava players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
