When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Eduard Mutu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Valdemar de Moraes to make any attempt to save it. In the 11th minute, Eduard Mutu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 16 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Comăneci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Luck's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bene Animatus the free kick. The supporters of Bene Animatus booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Comăneci didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes, Bene Animatus's Wilton de Brito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicu Mincu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bene Animatus reached it. Narcis Ţipirig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aníbal Alvarenga got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wilton de Brito. Eduard Mutu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar de Moraes having to interfere. After 30 played minutes FC Luck got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Scutaru. 34 minutes into the match, FC Luck's Narcis Ţipirig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The FC Luck fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when FC Luck's Narcis Ţipirig looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 42 minutes into the game, Silviu Hrandabur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Luck's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bene Animatus the free kick. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bene Animatus's goalkeeper Valdemar de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Luck getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Romeo Mihai hit a great ball. Valdemar de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Ţipirig in the 54th minute of the match. Bene Animatus's Valdemar de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Ţipirig in the 57th minute of play. Valdemar de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Ţipirig in the 59th minute of play. FC Luck's Iacob Panțâru managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aníbal Alvarenga in the 61 minute of the game. Narcis Ţipirig scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bene Animatus's Valdemar de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Scutaru in the 71st minute of play. Valdemar de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narcis Ţipirig's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Nildo Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicu Mincu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Narcis Ţipirig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Luck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Eduard Mutu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Valdemar de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Narcis Ţipirig notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Bene Animatus's Valdemar de Moraes. Valdemar de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 89 minutes, Eduard Mutu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Luck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Mutu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Niculae Scutaru sped through Bene Animatus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valdemar de Moraes. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Luck fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bene Animatus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
