Gaspar Harri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gaspar Harri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Antunes in the 7th minute of play. Leonel Guedes scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Harri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Mantzio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Roderigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Inter Nados's Gaspar Harri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Bezerra in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Inter Nados's Nicanor Berto got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Washington Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute of the match, Enrique Mantzio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gaston Roderigo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulo Antunes took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Harri. Gaspar Harri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gaspar Harri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Antunes in the 24th minute of the match. Gaspar Harri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Guedes scored 0-6 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Harri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Mantzio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, América-SC F.C.'s Washington Bezerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gaspar Harri. Gaspar Harri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 55th minute, Leonel Guedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The América-SC F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tata Martini during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tata Martini kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Gaspar Harri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Guedes in the 62nd minute of play forced Inter Nados's goalkeeper Gaspar Harri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvestre Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaspar Harri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Antunes in the 78th minute of the match. When Carlos Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored América-SC F.C.'s protests and gave Carlos Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. América-SC F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
