The audience was convinced that Gastão Cesário's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stojmen Tujković was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Artur Fidalgo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fryderyk Gajewski got free with Heitor Teixeira in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Artur Fidalgo made a precise shot to the right of Stojmen Tujković. F.C BEŞİKTAŞ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Fidalgo to maneuver through the defense. Alejo Cucao hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Heitor Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rasmus Højlund's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Gastão Cesário left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 59th minute Alejo Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heitor Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C BEŞİKTAŞ's Stojmen Tujković proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save F.C BEŞİKTAŞ from getting a goal against them. In the 77thth minute of the game Rasmus Højlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Heitor Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Alejo Cucao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Cucao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Heitor Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artur Fidalgo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Højlund came free, but Heitor Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gastão Cesário managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gastão Cesário was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stojmen Tujković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heitor Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Højlund in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, F.C BEŞİKTAŞ's goalkeeper Stojmen Tujković had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Brandão. Rasmus Højlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 98th play minutes Alejo Cucao shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Heitor Teixeira and just under the crossbar into goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
