After some careless play in the Tecka Viejo Nomás defense, Aldo Pes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicanor Romelio. The Tecka Viejo Nomás fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicanor Romelio should have stopped the shot. Nicanor Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Natal in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Gonzalo Lop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tecka Viejo Nomás's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Lop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Nuxila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tecka Viejo Nomás's Nicanor Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Pes in the 15th minute of play. From close distance Osvaldo Enekoitz pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 18 minutes into the game. In the 22nd minute, Aldo Pes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicanor Romelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Aldo Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Almeyra F.C.'s Fulgencio Natal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicanor Romelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Gonzalo Lop was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Tecka Viejo Nomás's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 31st minute, Osvaldo Enekoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tecka Viejo Nomás fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Aldo Pes sped through Tecka Viejo Nomás's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicanor Romelio. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Fulgencio Natal put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Nicanor Romelio. 40 minutes into the match, Almeyra F.C.'s Aldo Pes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Romelio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Almeyra F.C.'s Danilo Remir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When Fulgencio Natal came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Almeyra F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Natal couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Enekoitz was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Natal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicanor Romelio. Fulgencio Natal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-7. In the 60th minute, Almeyra F.C.'s Aldo Pes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicanor Romelio. Nicanor Romelio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-8. After having played for 63 minutes, Osvaldo Enekoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tecka Viejo Nomás's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Enekoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tecka Viejo Nomás's Gonzalo Lop got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute Danilo Remir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tecka Viejo Nomás getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Flavio Salvatore hit a great ball. Nicanor Romelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Nataniel in the 78th minute. Nicanor Romelio made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Aldo Pes sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, Timoteo Rioja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tecka Viejo Nomás's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almeyra F.C. the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Tecka Viejo Nomás was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Txindoki to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Nuxila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Pes in the 97th minute of play forced Tecka Viejo Nomás's goalkeeper Nicanor Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
