After recieving a nice pass, Terra Scaniae's Anders Lingren tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 24th match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceyhun Eriş to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Näfver took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bayhan Kutay. Bayhan Kutay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 28 played minutes Samsunspor got a freekick which was hit by Yağızhan Acıbadem. Anders Lingren might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bayhan Kutay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anders Lingren ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Samsunspor getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Yağızhan Acıbadem hit a great ball. Khodadad Khan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Recep Tayyip Değirmencioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 84th minute Recep Tayyip Değirmencioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khodadad Khan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Khodadad Khan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mecnun Başer, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
