Jefferson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Coutinho in the 25th minute of play. When Cebollas's Andresito Naranjo in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karaboudjan's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Cebollas booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karaboudjan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agamenón Gutierrez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 39 minutes, Agamenón Gutierrez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cebollas and the Karaboudjan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Agamenón Gutierrez hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Agamenón Gutierrez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Peixoto made a kick off. Wilton de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Luis Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karaboudjan. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Senen Zafrilla during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Cebollas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Senen Zafrilla to maneuver through the defense. Michel Ponce De Leon struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jefferson do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cebollas. Andresito Naranjos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Jefferson do Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cebollas's Luis Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Peixoto in the 65th minute of play. Andresito Naranjo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson do Vale having to interfere. If Andresito Naranjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Evaristo Tolino hit a great ball. Michel Ponce De Leon hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Luizão Peixoto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Bueno. Cebollas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizão Peixoto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 76th minute, Andresito Naranjo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Luizão Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Cebollas's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Peixoto came free, but Luis Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Ponce De Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson do Vale having to interfere. If Michel Ponce De Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cebollas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
