If Liu Xiang Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andrzej Bentkowski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 14 minutes had been played. In the 15th minute, Andrzej Bentkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juliusz Kazimierz struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Roberto Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pogoń Szczecin. Juliusz Kazimierz took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Oliveira. Roberto Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Zachariasz Czeszejko fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pogoń Szczecin's protests and gave Zachariasz Czeszejko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Pogoń Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachariasz Czeszejko to maneuver through the defense. Krzysztof Domamir was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Geovani Garcia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovani Garcia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pogoń Szczecin's Krzysztof Domamir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Garcia in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Pogoń Szczecin booed when JEC - FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitin Domingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitin Domingo made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pogoń Szczecin's Olgierd Sakowicz. In the 76th minute, Pogoń Szczecin's Juliusz Kazimierz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto Oliveira. Roberto Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Pero Šiljak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Krzysztof Domamir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Lech Spychalski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krzysztof Domamir was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 88th minute Pero Šiljak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Domamir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Karol Burdzel came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Pogoń Szczecin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karol Burdzel couldn't finish the play.
