Hélder Vinhas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hélder Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Lara in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Ziya Cerit in the 14th minute of play forced Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Hélder Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yusuf Ziya Cerit, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Hélder Vinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Saunders in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Fred Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lugano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jakub Waselenczuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Hélder Vinhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yusuf Ziya Cerit went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Saunders in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jack Saunders in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hélder Vinhas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jack Saunders scored 0-6 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélder Vinhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Lugano made a substitution. Klas Tingelholm replaced Jakub Waselenczuk. FC Lugano's Julio Palluzzi was substituted for Nereo Precioso. Fred Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Hélder Vinhas made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lugano's zone, Tiaguinho Cestarolli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. La Para came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Cestarolli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Gulli. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Fred Lara put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Hélder Vinhas. Bebeto Cestarolli scored 1-8 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of La Para, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Lugano played a much better game than Cestarolli FC and deserved their victory. The Cestarolli FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
