Ignacio Bessone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trinidad Khan in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute of the match, Jonah Ryan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ignacio Bessone was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Centenario Bohemio's Ignacio Bessone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Centenario Bohemio from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chandler Bing got free with Ignacio Bessone in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ignacio Bessone made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Alexis Couch sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute, Joseph Mahoney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chandler Bing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Bessone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chandler Bing in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Firman Gomar came free, but Dale Skinner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. American Airlines's Trinidad Khan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dale Skinner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firman Gomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of American Airlines booed when Centenario Bohemio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firman Gomar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robinson Paterson's late challenge caught a American Airlines's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexis Couch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ignacio Bessone having to make a save. A collision led to Centenario Bohemio getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Juan Manuel Requena hit a great ball. Joseph Mahoney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Bessone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Bernie Michael got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Firman Gomar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
