The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by • REGINA •'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christoffer Mårtensson was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Frogos's players had a chance to rest. Rafael Marquez thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Guillermo Ochoa, a very annoying self made goal in the 4th minute which led to 0-1. A collision led to Los Frogos getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Simon Björkqvist hit a great ball. Gilberto Gabirel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Sverker Nyberg made a huge save. In the last second Sverker Nyberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gilberto Gabirel in the 10thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 11th minute • REGINA • were awarded a corner. Albino Sol went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Håkansson in the 16th minute of play forced • REGINA •'s goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Gabirel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sverker Nyberg was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 21st match minute, • REGINA • was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meng Chuan Yong to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Los Frogos's Christoffer Mårtensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillermo Ochoa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, Los Frogos's goalkeeper Sverker Nyberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Gabirel. 39 minutes into the game, • REGINA •'s Meng Chuan Yong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sverker Nyberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 42 minutes into the match, Los Frogos's goal looked a bit too open when Al Bundy came free, but Sverker Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Gabirel in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sverker Nyberg saved Los Frogos from getting behind. After having played for 46 minutes, Gilberto Gabirel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. • REGINA •'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Gabirel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Los Frogos were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Gabirel was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, • REGINA •'s Jesus Rainerio got a free kick in the 50th minute. Christoffer Mårtensson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Ochoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute Jesus Rainerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Los Frogos booed when • REGINA • was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Sol didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Los Frogos getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Joseph Johansson hit a great ball. A nice corner shot did that Albino Sol got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sverker Nyberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Meng Chuan Yong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sverker Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Frank Gualtieri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guillermo Ochoa. The goal made the score 1-3. • REGINA • made a substitution. Julian Quiñones replaced Gilberto Gabirel. • REGINA • were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Los Frogos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Albino Sol took the corner. The corner led • REGINA •'s Meng Chuan Yong to fire away a dangerous shot which Sverker Nyberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sverker Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Quiñones in the 89th minute of the match. Sverker Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meng Chuan Yong in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Julian Quiñones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sverker Nyberg. Los Frogos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Quiñones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Sverker Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Bundy in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Frogos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
