Miltos Kyriazis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdir de Senna went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Pernambucano came free, but Miltos Kyriazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, one of Fúria Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fúria Futebol Clube:s Júlio Porto showed great skill when he stopped Omiros Argyriou:s penalty. Prodromos Banasopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Fúria Futebol Clube's Luís Fabiano Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the AEK S.C defense, Cristian Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miltos Kyriazis. The AEK S.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miltos Kyriazis should have stopped the shot. Valdir de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Kyriazis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AEK S.C's zone, Sílvio Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miltos Kyriazis came out of the goal and Sílvio Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Cristian Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miltos Kyriazis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miltos Kyriazis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Pernambucano in the 72nd minute of play. Júlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prodromos Banasopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Júlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Argyrakos in the 79th minute of the match. When Cristian Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fúria Futebol Clube's protests and gave Cristian Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miltos Kyriazis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Pernambucano in the 90th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes Fúria Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Cruz. For all the effort they put into the match, the AEK S.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fúria Futebol Clube.
