In the 5th minute, Jeronimo Avaria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute, Victor Hugo Fermandois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute of the match Epifanío Mejia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Izak Capellemans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Izak Capellemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Avaria in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the Capo de Provincia defense, Mathieu-Maxim Toussain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baudelio Santa Ana. The Capo de Provincia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baudelio Santa Ana should have stopped the shot. Osvaldo Sánchez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Izak Capellemans 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunter Van Bets in the 28th minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Baudelio Santa Ana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lions United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorg Coenens in the 30th minute. Jorg Coenens made a great header on Lions United's corner, it was just that Capo de Provincia's Baudelio Santa Ana managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu-Maxim Toussain in the 32nd minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Baudelio Santa Ana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Sánchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Baudelio Santa Ana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Van Bets, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Gunter Van Bets cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Baudelio Santa Ana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Jeronimo Avaria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Izak Capellemans. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Izak Capellemans should have stopped the shot. Lions United's Izak Capellemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 59th minute of play. When Gunter Van Bets fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lions United's protests and gave Gunter Van Bets a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Gunter Van Bets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Vinckx couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Sánchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Vinckx who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Baudelio Santa Ana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carl Vinckx received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baudelio Santa Ana came out and tried to block the shot, but Carl Vinckx slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Capo de Provincia had won after a very even match.
