In the 6th minute of the match, Igor Horado sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Mihăiţă Prunaru showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Di Giuseppe in the 13th minute of play. Laurențiu Bobei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Augusto Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avram Albu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Prunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robby Di Giuseppe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Niva was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Costel Postelnicu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Costel Postelnicu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After having played for 28 minutes, Gilberto Ubendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZAFIRO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Ubendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to ZAFIRO FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Igor Horado hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Robby Di Giuseppe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Prunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Laurențiu Bobei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Di Giuseppe in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Gzpn Timisoara getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Laurențiu Bobei hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Laurențiu Bobei fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Robby Di Giuseppe put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mihăiţă Prunaru. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurențiu Bobei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Lucian Maruță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Gzpn Timisoara's Emil Angheloiu got a free kick in the 55th minute. Igor Horado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mihăiţă Prunaru. Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mihăiţă Prunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robby Di Giuseppe, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lucian Maruță managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gzpn Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucian Maruță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Niva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gzpn Timisoara's Laurențiu Bobei got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gzpn Timisoara's Emil Angheloiu got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 72 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Emil Angheloiu. In the 73rdth minute of the game Robby Di Giuseppe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emil Angheloiu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Maruță. Igor Horado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mihăiţă Prunaru. Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Robby Di Giuseppe fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZAFIRO FC's protests and gave Robby Di Giuseppe a yellow card for diving instead. Robby Di Giuseppe kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Robby Di Giuseppes short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Mihăiţă Prunaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Gzpn Timisoara's Avram Albu got a free kick in the 88th minute. The supporters of Gzpn Timisoara booed when ZAFIRO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Montay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gzpn Timisoara succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ZAFIRO FC had controlled the match.
