Jussef Zemmamouche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Hocine Bentaala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. Qatar Dust Kickers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Evangelista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hocine Bentaala who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Virgilio Rocendo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Virgilio Rocendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hocine Bentaala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Evangelista kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Volvio Moreno got a freekick which was hit by Matias Checa. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hocine Bentaala in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Rocendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Virgilio Rocendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine Bentaala in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Evangelista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
