When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marquinhos Teixeira sped through Gzpn Timisoara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihăiţă Prunaru. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Bengt Bouchard sped through Gzpn Timisoara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihăiţă Prunaru. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt Bouchard in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihăiţă Prunaru saved Gzpn Timisoara from getting behind. In the 16th match minute, Gzpn Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Potopea to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Pascu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt Bouchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th match minute, Gzpn Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Postelnicu to maneuver through the defense. Marquinhos Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 minutes Gzpn Timisoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marquinhos Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. Bengt Bouchard was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 35 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Potopea. Marquinhos Teixeira took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihăiţă Prunaru. Mihăiţă Prunaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 39 minutes into the match, Gzpn Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Teixeira came free, but Mihăiţă Prunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bengt Bouchard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihăiţă Prunaru was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 42nd match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Martins to maneuver through the defense. Dorin Otețea hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Bengt Bouchard notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru. Mihăiţă Prunaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marquinhos Teixeira made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Bengt Bouchard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When FÊNIX F.C.'s Marquinhos Teixeira in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gzpn Timisoara's goalie prevented a goal. Mihăiţă Prunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 62nd minute of play. Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Gzpn Timisoara from getting a goal against them. Marquinhos Teixeira had several of the Gzpn Timisoara's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Mihăiţă Prunaru as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bengt Bouchard came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mihăiţă Prunaru could save by the left post. In the 74th match minute, Gzpn Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Buculeasa to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Pascu. Bengt Bouchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gzpn Timisoara booed when FÊNIX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, FÊNIX F.C.'s Gilberto Leite dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 90th minute of play forced Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Prunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt Bouchard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Mihăiţă Prunaru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Genílson Ferraz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Teixeira got free with Mihăiţă Prunaru in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Gzpn Timisoara fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FÊNIX F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
