With an all-out effort, Balders Hage IF's Igor Gipuzkoa threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sigvard Brask, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Svante Jansson fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balders Hage IF's protests and gave Svante Jansson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atlético Matorrales booed when Balders Hage IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Atlético Matorrales's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvard Brask came free, but Igor Gipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Balders Hage IF's Igor Gipuzkoa threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Allan Hammarberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Bermund in the 19th minute of play forced Balders Hage IF's goalkeeper Uno Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Bermund took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uno Andreasson. Uno Andreasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Sigvard Brask took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Igor Gipuzkoa to make any attempt to save it. Atlético Matorrales's attentive Diego Darien managed to snatch the ball when Oskar Lövkvist made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd match minute, Atlético Matorrales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Darien to maneuver through the defense. Uno Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Pacorro in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Zeledon Bermund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uno Andreasson was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 40thth minute of the game Zeledon Bermund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balders Hage IF's Uno Andreasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svante Jansson got free with Igor Gipuzkoa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Gipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Hammarberg in the 45th minute of play. Uno Andreasson came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Matorrales's Zeledon Bermund. But to his dismay, Zeledon Bermund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half Atlético Matorrales were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Zeledon Bermund made the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Bermund kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Svante Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Bermund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Uno Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Matorrales's zone, Sigvard Brask stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Gipuzkoa came out of the goal and Sigvard Brask tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Gipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Henriksson in the 85th minute of the match. Sigvard Brask scored 2-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Gipuzkoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Brask in the 94th minute of play forced Atlético Matorrales's goalkeeper Igor Gipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Sigvard Brask notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Atlético Matorrales's Igor Gipuzkoa. Igor Gipuzkoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atlético Matorrales's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
