Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kuzman Leyarski in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Olof Kihlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Per-Olof Kihlberg managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when MANCHESTER UNITED's Klement Harasimowicz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 84 minutes, Aad Baad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MANCHESTER UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aad Baad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The FORTALEZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Olof Kihlberg should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORTALEZA's goalkeeper Per-Olof Kihlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. MANCHESTER UNITED's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
