Artizar Melic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hartwig Engelhardt went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Pierres Baz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artizar Melic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edin Džeko in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Ray Schikaneder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artizar Melic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Benvide Cercalde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benvide Cercalde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Wischnowsky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Schikaneder in the 22nd minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Artizar Melic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, KFC Uerdingen 05's Gabriel Wischnowsky got control of the ball when Benvide Cercalde tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Cheche Bellogin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Wischnowsky. Gabriel Wischnowsky yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 29 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Gabriel Wischnowsky had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cheche Bellogin. 34 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Lonzo Corullon came free, but Gabriel Wischnowsky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Ray Schikaneder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Uerdingen 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 41st minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Lonzo Corullon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lonzo Corullon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Popolizio FBC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lonzo Corullon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. KFC Uerdingen 05's Ray Schikaneder got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artizar Melic came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Uerdingen 05's Aage Schwabe. But to his dismay, Aage Schwabe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Benvide Cercalde made the kick off in the second half. Artizar Melic made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Hartwig Engelhardt sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artizar Melic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Julian Froylan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artizar Melic was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Gianluca Popolizio was substituted for Benvide Cercalde. A collision led to Deportivo Popolizio FBC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rayman Munibe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Schikaneder in the 68th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Artizar Melic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Hartwig Engelhardt. Artizar Melic made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Hartwig Engelhardt sent off a good shot on target. KFC Uerdingen 05's Gabriel Wischnowsky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Popolizio in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Aldo Popolizio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Wischnowsky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Wischnowsky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Popolizio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Hartwig Engelhardt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Uerdingen 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Gilesindo Colombres's late challenge caught a KFC Uerdingen 05's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilesindo Colombres helped the player get up and apologised. Gilesindo Colombres kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Gianluca Popolizio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Wischnowsky. KFC Uerdingen 05's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianluca Popolizio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KFC Uerdingen 05's performance. The match ended with a win for KFC Uerdingen 05.
