The audience thought a goal was coming when Danny Gilespie got free with Simon Carral in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when George Pison came free, but Fergus Fairbairn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Canteranos Fc's goalkeeper Simon Carral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angus Howison. In the 22nd minute Jaume Divaichin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pison in the 26th minute of the match. Fergus Fairbairn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Pison, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Simon Carral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stevie McGilvray, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Fergus Fairbairn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaume Divaichin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stevie McGilvray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Simon Carral made a huge save. Rangers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tim Charles in the 49th minute. The Rangers FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Canteranos Fc were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Danny Gilespie made the kick off in the second half. Jerardo Alcubierre struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fergus Fairbairn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canteranos Fc. Simon Carral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Gilespie, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Rangers FC from getting a goal against them. Darius Bontine's late challenge caught a Canteranos Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
