Lázaro Efraim's late challenge caught a Degerfors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Efraim helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Cardiff City FC got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Ciano. Åke Fors might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimiro Leobardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Åke Fors ran back to his position shaking his head. Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fors in the 56th minute of play. Åke Fors's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimiro Leobardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Selman Durkaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cardiff City FC's Paulo Lorencio got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Primitivo Ciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fors in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cardiff City FC defense, Åke Fors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Leobardo. The Cardiff City FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Leobardo should have stopped the shot. Tomas Kråk kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Åke Fors struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Vladimiro Leobardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Degerfors IF. Åke Fors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Leobardo having to interfere.
