Berbiz Mendiola ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Van Field in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elazar Lavijo saved alianza all stars from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Van Field in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elazar Lavijo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Van Field's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elazar Lavijo was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Desiderio Endura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berbiz Mendiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Van Field succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 69th playminute. SOUTH THUNDER's Zeledon Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The SOUTH THUNDER fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when SOUTH THUNDER's Van Field looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-11 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
