Richard Textex was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tom Beaune kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Gael Kirac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Erlantz in the 20th minute. Tom Beaune kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Quintun got free with Gael Kirac in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 24 minutes, Tom Beaune managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyon 69ers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Beaune was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Leopoldo Erlantz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newpi Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Erlantz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gael Kirac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Beaune came free, but Richard Textex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Asur hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Gael Kirac had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Erlantz. 38 minutes into the game, Lyon 69ers's Eraldo Fantini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Textex made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Lyon 69ers getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Mathias Lecanu hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Victor Denver. Mathias Lecanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Quintun to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Robert Garrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyon 69ers's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Garrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Textex breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Quintun might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gael Kirac. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Quintun ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Garrigues in the 54th minute of play forced Newpi Academy's goalkeeper Richard Textex to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Lyon 69ers's Eraldo Fantini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Richard Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Silvian in the 67th minute of play. Richard Textex made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Fantini in the 70th minute. Richard Textex made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Eraldo Fantini sent off a good shot on target. Richard Textex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Garrigues in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Fernando Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newpi Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Asur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gael Kirac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Textex showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Lecanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Lyon 69ers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mathias Lecanu in the 81st minute. Lyon 69ers's Mathias Lecanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Richard Textex in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Newpi Academy's Richard Textex got control of the ball when Tom Beaune tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Tom Beaune who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newpi Academy's Richard Textex was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Newpi Academy getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Fernando Asur hit a great ball. If Eraldo Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Tom Beaune shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Robert Garrigues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Richard Textex. That made the score 0-5 in the 96 minute of play. Lyon 69ers played a much better game than Newpi Academy and deserved their victory. The Newpi Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
