The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Erik Sörman's late challenge caught a La Cosa Nostra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Erik Sörman helped the player get up and apologised. La Cosa Nostra's Flavio Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Delin in the 7th minute of play. Jerry Fristedt let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 10th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfons Delin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Bento. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Alfons Delin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfL Wolfsburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Delin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerry Fristedt kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Alfons Delin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Flavio Bento. Alfons Delin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfons Delin in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Bento saved La Cosa Nostra from getting behind. La Cosa Nostra's Flavio Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Albom in the 34th minute of play. Flavio Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Delin in the 35th minute of play. VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Llorienzo in the 36th minute of play. Eustacio Llorienzo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. La Cosa Nostra's Flavio Bento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save La Cosa Nostra from getting a goal against them. When Haroldo Maule fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cosa Nostra's protests and gave Haroldo Maule a yellow card for diving instead. VfL Wolfsburg's Patrick Albom couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for La Cosa Nostra. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustacio Llorienzo made a kick off. Olle Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Llorienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Eustacio Llorienzo fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cosa Nostra's protests and gave Eustacio Llorienzo a yellow card for diving instead. Eustacio Llorienzo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Casimiro Pacorro threw the ball into play from the sideline. VfL Wolfsburg's Yin Bing Ming quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Flavio Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Fristedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Jerry Fristedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olle Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Llorienzo in the 73rd minute of the match.
