Flavio Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Hoffmann in the 15th minute of play. Flavio Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Hoffmann in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match O MOTIVO ⚽ got a corner. La Cosa Nostra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emílio Veiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fabio Inko thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Flavio Bento, a very annoying self made goal in the 20th minute which led to 1-2. Emílio Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Bento having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Christian Braga notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of La Cosa Nostra's Flavio Bento. Flavio Bento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emílio Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Flavio Bento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Maule to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, La Cosa Nostra's Gualterio Errando got a free kick in the 40th minute. After the first half O MOTIVO ⚽ were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 64 minutes, Eustacio Llorienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cosa Nostra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Llorienzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emílio Veiga had several of the La Cosa Nostra's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Flavio Bento as he didn't even see the shot coming. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Claudinho Quintal was substituted for Bernardo de Salles. When Eustacio Llorienzo fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cosa Nostra's protests and gave Eustacio Llorienzo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Cosa Nostra getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Eustacio Llorienzo hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Christian Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eustacio Llorienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Eustacio Llorienzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Claudinho Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everardo Regis's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Wágner Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Regis in the 95th minute of play. After 96 played minutes O MOTIVO ⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Elder Guimarães. O MOTIVO ⚽'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
