Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Manuel Riquelme in the 6th minute of play. Wágner Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Alcázar, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Valério Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cabildo FC's Ricard Campbell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Cabildo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Misericordia EC's Luiz Paulo Ferraz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricard Campbell. Ricard Campbell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 25 played minutes Cabildo FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Manuel Riquelme. In the 33rd minute, Luiz Paulo Ferraz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Misericordia EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 35 played minutes Misericordia EC got a freekick which was hit by Bob Maravilha. When Pedro Alcázar came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cabildo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Alcázar couldn't finish the play. Luiz Paulo Ferrazs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Ricard Campbell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ricard Campbell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Ferraz in the 44th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Pedro Alcázar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wágner Ribeiro was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Manuel Riquelme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Alcázar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Manuel Riquelme kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo Ferraz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricard Campbell. Cabildo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Paulo Ferraz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 78th minute, Soriano Budinich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Cabildo FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Alcázar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Paulo Ferraz in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricard Campbell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Paulo Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ricard Campbell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Misericordia EC. If Pedro Alcázar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cabildo FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Soriano Budinich hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Paulo Ferraz in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricard Campbell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute, Benedicto Boonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Misericordia EC defense, Pedro Alcázar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wágner Ribeiro. The Misericordia EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wágner Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. Cabildo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
