Joaquim da Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Joaquim da Fonseca got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Frédson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Papunhas EC's Ruy Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Papunhas EC from getting a goal against them. After 32 played minutes, Papunhas EC's João Paulo Ribeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roque Precioso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Papunhas EC reached it. 40 minutes into the match, Quien Te iba a Decir.....'s goal looked a bit too open when Frédson Rosa came free, but Roque Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marcelo Cresenciano came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Quien Te iba a Decir..... fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Cresenciano couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Cresenciano kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurinho Prestes made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Papunhas EC's Frédson Rosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roque Precioso. Roque Precioso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 60th minute Frédson Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Precioso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes in the game, Frédson Rosa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roque Precioso having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, Papunhas EC's Frédson Rosa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Roque Precioso. Cornelio Fernendo charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Fernendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frédson Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Precioso having to interfere. The supporters of Quien Te iba a Decir..... booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Furtado hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Artur do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papunhas EC's protests and gave Artur do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Papunhas EC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Artur do Nascimento hit a great ball. Ramiro Abeitia struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ruy Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quien Te iba a Decir...... If Maurinho Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of Papunhas EC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Quien Te iba a Decir..... side.
