The Deportivo Diamante U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Conrado Maiorga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emilian Martinez came out and tried to block the shot, but Conrado Maiorga slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 38th minute. Diego Milito came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emilian Martinez could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Alfonso Retes got a free kick in the 47th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Milito got free with Emilian Martinez in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Milito to make the kick off. Emilian Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Maiorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Ted Lasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Rafel came free, but Emilian Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Deportivo Diamante U18 got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Chepe. Camilo Sexto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Fagildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Elmas Veloz hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 4-0 became the score in the 83rd minute when Conrado Maiorga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ted Lasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Fagildo having to interfere. Alfonso Retes got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Deportivo Diamante U18 booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Retes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Diamante U18's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
