In the 8th minute, Romário Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Minuano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marcelo Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvar Berglund in the 13th minute. The supporters of Fårdala FF booed when Atlético Minuano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Jernberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, Atlético Minuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Fårdala FF's Sonny Brodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Torres in the 26th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play, Atlético Minuano's Giovani Nunes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sonny Brodin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute Mikael Nordin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lauro Torres made a kick off. In the 58th minute Vilhelm Jönsätt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fårdala FF's Sonny Brodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Torres in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Eliseu Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Minuano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fårdala FF the free kick. Ronaldinho Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Brodin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauro Torres got free with Sonny Brodin in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Mikael Nordin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes Atlético Minuano got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Torres. 74 minutes into the game, Romário Monteiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Sonny Brodin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Atlético Minuano getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Giovani Nunes hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Fårdala FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingemar Lövgren to maneuver through the defense. Sonny Brodin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Torres in the 85th minute of play. If Lauro Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Giovani Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Minuano's protests and gave Giovani Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Giovani Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético Minuano's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Berglund came free, but Marcelo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Torress short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Sonny Brodin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Atlético Minuano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fårdala FF throughout the match.
