Frodo Quintero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Žilák having to make a save. Pelayo Vazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Bucesta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Colegas del Barrio's Pelayo Vazquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Los Colegas del Barrio from getting a goal against them. Jorge Vicente Lopes Maciel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pelayo Vazquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los Colegas del Barrio's Antonio Canal got a free kick in the 37th minute. Pelayo Vazquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for R.B Leipzig.
