Trifon Trúnkov charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Axenstein booed when SAPI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martinus Bachdim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Bawang Merah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAPI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Daffa Sopandi came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the SAPI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daffa Sopandi couldn't finish the play. Bawang Merah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michele Rieger having to make a save. Axenstein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bawang Merah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Michele Rieger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bawang Merah in the 47th minute of the match. 47 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when SAPI FC's Bawang Merah fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bawang Merah made a kick off. Anak Habib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Christen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Bawang Merah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michele Rieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bawang Merah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bawang Merah in the 59th minute of play forced Axenstein's goalkeeper Michele Rieger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Oswin Rominger in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SAPI FC's Daffa Sopandi. Michele Rieger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bawang Merah, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Bawang Merah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Michele Rieger made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Bawang Merah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michele Rieger. In the 76th play minute Bawang Merah came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Michele Rieger. 0-5. Gabriel Christen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anak Habib having to make a save. Bawang Merah took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michele Rieger. Michele Rieger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. If Bawang Merah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Axenstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graham Baumgartner didn't get a good kick on the ball. A very nice done corner allowed Anak Jamet to score against Michele Rieger in Axenstein's goal. 0-7 after 89 minutes. Michele Rieger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adalberto Marquez in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SAPI FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
