The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tony Van Der Weghen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berk Vezir in the 3rd minute of the match. When Arif Burak Kılıçalp came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Carno FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Burak Kılıçalp couldn't finish the play. Berk Vezir might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Van Der Weghen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berk Vezir ran back to his position shaking his head. Tony Van Der Weghen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berk Vezir in the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Bruges defense, Berk Vezir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Van Der Weghen. The FC Bruges fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Van Der Weghen should have stopped the shot. Tony Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berk Vezir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Berk Vezir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Van Der Weghen was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, Carno FK's Berk Vezir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Van Der Weghen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 30th minute of the match Fehmi Akçiçek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Van Der Weghen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Carno FK fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Carno FK's Berk Vezir looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arif Burak Kılıçalp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Van Der Weghen having to make a save. In the 46th minute Berk Vezir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richy Wiggers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu-Maxim Wouqier. Aziz Safih hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Tolunay Tandan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Van Der Weghen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Carno FK's Hüsmen Yiğithan was substituted for Tolunay Tandan. In the 79th minute Arif Burak Kılıçalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Berk Vezir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Van Der Weghen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. 83 minutes into the game, Berk Vezir recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tony Van Der Weghen. Berk Vezir showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Thanks to some nice moves Berk Vezir could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Tony Van Der Weghen however easily saved by the left post. Berk Vezir's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Tony Van Der Weghen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 91 minutes into the game, Hüsmen Yiğithan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carno FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bruges the free kick. After 91 played minutes Carno FK got a freekick which was hit by Hüsmen Yiğithan. When FC Bruges's Richy Wiggers in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carno FK's goalie prevented a goal. When the match was over Carno FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Bruges throughout the match.
