Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcelo Marcello started the match with the kick off. Tony Joyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Batista in the 3rd minute of play. Tony Joyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Batista in the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Deportivo Rodriguez defense, Eurico Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Joyce. The Deportivo Rodriguez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Joyce should have stopped the shot. Eurico Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tyrell Cochran during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Deportivo Rodriguez got a freekick which was hit by Tyrell Cochran. 14 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Xacintu came free, but Tony Joyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Javier Rodriguez hit a great ball. Victor de Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Joyce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Calvin Rodriguez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Tony Joyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor de Salles in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Eurico Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Joyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Tony Joyce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute of the match, Pedro Pedro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Josue Barro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Batista in the 39th minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Tony Joyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jason Douglas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Tony Joyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor de Salles in the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Rodriguez's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eurico Batista was slow to take the kick. During this time Flying Dutch's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Rafa Capixaba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tony Joyce quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tony Joyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Capixaba in the 54th minute of play. Josue Barro came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Rodriguez's Javier Rodriguez. But to his dismay, Javier Rodriguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Deportivo Rodriguez defense, Niceto Xacintu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Joyce. The Deportivo Rodriguez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Joyce should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Victor de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flying Dutch's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Joyce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tony Joyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes, Niceto Xacintu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flying Dutch and the Deportivo Rodriguez players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Calvin Rodriguez hit a great ball. Rafa Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Joyce having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Rodriguez's Eliseo Cavazos got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 88 played minutes Deportivo Rodriguez got a freekick which was hit by Javier Rodriguez. If João Adolfo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
