The audience was convinced that Fermin Mingo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Joyce was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Calvin Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Joyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Mingo in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Mingo came free, but Tony Joyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Joyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Jason Douglas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Rodriguez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jason Douglas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fermin Mingo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Tony Joyce made a huge save. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Tony Joyce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
