After 7th play minutes Robert Uncescu shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Tanek Fedosz and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Constantin Ifrim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Owls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Ifrim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tanek Fedosz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Ifrim in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Constantin Ifrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Fedosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tanek Fedosz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Uncescu in the 24th minute of play. Tanek Fedosz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Uncescu in the 25th minute of the match. Boleslaw Tarasek hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Petruț Alecu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Owls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Iulian Pordea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The coaching staff of KS Piastów Sosnowiec protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adam Mnich had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave The Owls a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Petruț Alecu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KS Piastów Sosnowiec's Tanek Fedosz. 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Iulian Pordea made the kick off in the second half. Petruț Alecu's late challenge caught a KS Piastów Sosnowiec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petruț Alecu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Owls getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Petruț Alecu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Ifrim in the 54th minute of play forced KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Tanek Fedosz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tanek Fedosz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Alecu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of The Owls booed when KS Piastów Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Gorski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Petruț Alecu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Fedosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Uncescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Tanek Fedosz made a huge save. Tanek Fedosz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iulian Pordea in the 80th minute. The nice shot from Iulian Pordea in the 81stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Tanek Fedosz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Iulian Pordea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tanek Fedosz. KS Piastów Sosnowiec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iulian Pordea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. After having played for 90 minutes, Petruț Alecu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Owls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petruț Alecu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Owls's Ionuț Lungu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurek Dudek in the 92nd minute of play. Constantin Ifrim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Fedosz having to interfere. When the match was over The Owls could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KS Piastów Sosnowiec throughout the match.
